(PDU).<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong><em>Professional Development Units (<\/em><\/strong><a A total of 60 PDUs are needed to stay credentialed. For PMI credentialing, record details of your efforts as each PMP\u00ae PDU claim for Education must fit within the PMI Talent Triangle\u00ae. With the same username and password from your PMI account registration, you can access the CCRS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"process\">What is the process for submitting a PMP PDU Claim?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In terms of the number submitted in a given period or if you want to exceed the minimum in a PDU category, there are no PMP PDU claim limits.&nbsp; Note there is a PMI review process for PDU claim submissions and not all claims may be approved. For the most current information, use the PMI Continuing Certification Requirements (CCR) Handbook.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong><em>As of January 2022, PMI enforces a 3-year cycle of<br>60 PMI-approved PDUs to maintain a PMP credential in good standing<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"submit\">How to submit your PDU claim through CCRS<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>For work as a Practitioner, as a Volunteer, or for Education work, the PDU claim process is the same. What differs is the information requested to go into each type of claim. All claim types are tracked within the CCRS, and a claim status report can be generated at any time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"has-normal-font-size wp-block-heading\"><strong>Access PMI\u2019s CCRS<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\"><li>Open your browser and navigate to the <a href=\"https:\/\/ccrs.pmi.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">PMI.org site<\/a>.<\/li><li>Click the \u201cLogin\u201d button.<\/li><li>Enter your PMI.org username and password.<ol><li>Contact PMI\u00ae support if you cannot log into your account.<\/li><\/ol><\/li><li>Click on the \u201cMyPMI\u201d button and from the drop-down menu click \u201cDashboard\u201d.<\/li><li>Click the \u201cReport PDUs\u201d button.<\/li><li>Click on the type that fits your PDU.<ol><li>If you have a PDU Claim code, click on the \u201cI have a claim code\u201d option then enter the code so that the course\/event information is automatically uploaded to your account.<\/li><\/ol><ol><li>If you do not have a PDU claim code, click on the type of claim you have then manually enter all required information.<\/li><\/ol><\/li><li>Check the box that says \u201cI agree this claim is accurate\u201d then click the \u201cSubmit\u201d button.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you submit a PDU claim, PMI will email you that the claim is received. Later, PMI will email you once the claim is rejected or approved. If approved, PDUs will be applied to your account as part of the credential maintenance process. At any time, you can access your PDU report from CCRS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"review\">How long does it take PMI to review a PDU claim?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A PMI ATP (Authorized Training Partner) is an organization PMI authorizes to provide:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>PMP\u00ae certification exam prep<\/li><li>Disciplined Agile\u00ae training<\/li><li>Courses that offer PDUs to maintain your PMI certification(s)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If PDUs are claimed from a PMI ATP they are automatically approved upon submission. If the PDUs are earned from a non-ATP organization or as part of a self-study activity, it may take up to 5 days to receive notification if it is approved, rejected, or needs more information. Log into the PMI CCRS to check the status of each claim. If a claim is approved, no further action is needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"reporting\">Reporting PDU work as a practitioner<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>For any &#8220;Work as a Practitioner&#8221; PDU claims, you should have the contact information for someone who can verify the work was performed as described. The claim form requires an employer name, job title, responsibilities, and dates. There are optional fields for URL, contact person, and contact email. If you are going to report work as a practitioner, just as you would with any PDU claim, have all documentation secured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"keep-records\">Keep your PDU claim records<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As with PMP\u00ae exam application audits, there are PDU claim audits. PMI recommends keeping all PDU claim documentation for at least 18 months after your CCR cycle has ended. If randomly selected, you must provide documentation for PDU claim submissions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"ethics\">PDUs and ethics<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Each PDU claim form requires you to click \u201cI agree this claim is accurate\u201d below this statement:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cBy submitting this claim, I attest that the information I have provided is correct. I understand that any misrepresentation or incorrect information provided may result in disciplinary action, including suspension or revocation of my PMI certification and\/or credential.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All PDU claims are subject to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pmi.org\/codeofethics\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">PMI Code of Ethics<\/a> and Professional Conduct for Project Management. When you submit a PDU claim to PMI, you give your word for the accuracy of the work reported. Any violation of the PMI ethics code can result in a PMI credential being rescinded or other professional consequences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Takeaways<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>PMI does not give out a rating for the quality of each PDU claim, but there is a code of ethics that applies to all PDU claims.
