Program Management Professional (PgMP)^® Certification Training

This Program Management Professional (PgMP)^® certification training course will guide you through the Standard for Program Management and support your journey to the PgMP^® exam. Through the guidance provided during this four-day boot camp and subsequent study, you will know what to expect on the day of the PgMP^® exam itself. This PgMP^® training course will be taught by a PgMP^® accredited instructor who will guide you based on personal experience of the process. Supplemental materials such as simulated exams to prepare you for the actual test, as well as 20-question exams at the end of each section of the online course will help boost your confidence for exam day.

Audience

This is an Advanced-level course that is suitable for people who have the necessary experience to meet the Project Management Institute's eligibility requirements. The Project Management Institute requires all PgMP^® exam candidates to have:

At least four years' (6,000 hours') Project Management experience
If you have a bachelor's degree you will also need four years' (6,000 hours') Program Management experience
However, if you do not have a bachelor's degree, the Program Management requirement goes up to seven years (10,500 hours)

In addition to this, we strongly recommend that our students have obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP)^® accreditation already. Many of the day-to-day tools and techniques covered by the Standard for Program Management are very familiar to PMP^® exam students. You will find it much easier if you have encountered these previously.

Who should take PgMP® Certification Training?

This course is for experienced program managers who already meet PMI's eligibility requirements. You'll need at least four years of project management experience plus four years of program management experience if you hold a bachelor’s degree (or seven years without one). While not required, holding a PMP® certification makes the transition easier since many of the tools and techniques will already be familiar.

What's the difference between PMP® and PgMP® certification?

PMP® focuses on managing individual projects. PgMP® goes a step further, measuring your ability to coordinate multiple related projects and align them with organizational goals. Many PgMP® candidates already hold a PMP® and pursue PgMP® to validate their advanced leadership and strategic management skills.
